Realistic Brakes V1.4 is a script for Farming Simulator 25 that simulates realistic braking for trucks and tractors. It serves as a companion to Realistic Diesel Start but works perfectly well on its own. The parking brake holds according to the vehicle's weight, trailers included, and the steepness of the slope, so an overloaded truck on a downhill can roll away. Hill start aid, a dynamic engine brake and an exhaust Jake Brake are also part of the package.
• Parking brake force depends on weight and slope, and on an uphill the brakes stay applied for up to 3 seconds after stopping
• Dynamic engine braking depends on the gear, while the exhaust Jake Brake engages automatically or manually with the B key
• Brakes heat up at their own rate for each vehicle type, and overheating damages the linings until you visit the workshop
• Trailer air hoses keep a trailer braked while disconnected, just like a real truck
• Exhaust brake sounds, brake squeal and air release, plus a discreet HUD with brake status lights
Compatible with Advanced Damage System, Enhanced Vehicle, AutoDrive and Interactive Control, the script supports multiplayer and dedicated servers and remains compatible with savegames from version 1.3.0.0.
