Realistic 4×4 Traction System V2.1 is a script for Farming Simulator 25 that adds fully switchable four-wheel drive and a differential lock to compatible tractors, trucks, harvesters and cars. The system reacts to actual rear-wheel slip rather than to a pressed key, so vehicle behaviour feels much closer to real machinery. The front axle can be engaged or disengaged manually, while the differential lock trades turning radius for maximum grip in mud, snow or during heavy work. All options live in the in-game settings menu, and no XML changes to any vehicle are required.
• Four driving modes: Manual, Semi-automatic, Automatic and Intelligent in the Fendt style
• Real rear-wheel slip detection that drives the automatic modes
• Native tyre-pressure simulation during engagement, with no dependency on other mods
• On-screen HUD with real-time status and adjustable position
• New SIMPLE mode by default: automatic 4WD for tractors, wheel loaders and telehandlers with no speed limit
• REALISTIC mode keeps factory modes, real speed limits and manual tyre pressure
Switch modes via Left Alt + J > Settings > System mode and reload the game afterwards; multiplayer is still in development and may contain bugs.
