Mud on the road v2.7 is a gameplay mod for Farming Simulator 25 that adds realistic mud on roads left behind by vehicle tyres. Tyres only drop mud when there is real mud on them, meaning the dirt the game shows after field work, while clean or washed tyres leave nothing behind. On roads, yards and tracks muddy tyres leave tyre-print smears and throw off clods, and faster driving flings those clods further across the road. The tyres shed their mud as they go, so the trail fades over a few hundred metres, bends with the wheels through corners and thickens when you drive over old mud again.
• Works for every vehicle and trailer with wheels, including AI helpers
• Heavy rain washes the mud away in about 5 in-game hours, light rain in around half a day
• In dry weather the mud dries, turns pale and is gone after about three in-game days
• Any sweeper brush that is turned on removes the mud it passes over
• A loader, telehandler or wheel loader bucket with its lip on the road scrapes mud into the bucket
• Multiplayer syncs the mud from the server, so every player sees the same trails
• On wet worked fields mud flicks up off the tyres and parts near the wheels get muddier
• Settings are stored in modSettings/FS25_MudOnRoad.xml
A small A-frame “Mud on road” warning sign in UK road-sign style is also available for 25 in the Decorations shop, and the mud is saved with your savegame.
