Soil Draft Physics BETA 3 is a script for Farming Simulator 25 that makes machinery feel the real resistance of the soil while working a field. Implements pull harder in heavy wet clay than in dry sand, and tyre grip depends on their size, wheel load and pressure. The draft model follows agricultural engineering standards ASABE D497 and the Brixius traction model, so it behaves predictably on different soil types. The script replaces the game's own draft force, so there is no double counting.
• Implement draft by type (plough, ripper, subsoiler, cultivator, disc harrow, seeder), width, depth and speed
• Precision Farming soil types from sand to silty clay, with a medium soil used when PF is absent
• Soil moisture per soil type: sand dries fast, clay stays heavy for days
• Traction and rolling resistance from real tyre sizes (e.g. 710/60R38), wheel load and pressure
• Working depth controlled from the cab: Alt+Page Down deeper, Alt+Page Up shallower, Alt+End MANUAL/AUTO
• Wheel and track sinkage depending on soil, moisture, tillage state, load and pressure
• HUD with working depth, sinkage and tyre footprint, toggled with Ctrl+Shift+H and moved with Ctrl+Shift+M
• Translations for all 25 game languages, compatible with 4×4 Traction System, MoreRealistic and Variable Working Depth
Settings are stored in modSettings/FS25_SoilDraftPhysics.xml, while working depth is saved with the savegame and synced in multiplayer.
