Advanced Drivetrain v1.0 is a script mod for Farming Simulator 25 that adds drivetrain and differential lock control. It focuses on 2WD/4WD switching and front and rear diff locks without touching tyre wear, grip, tread, tyre size, pressure or mud sink. The mod is built as a simple, clean addition that works alongside other mods rather than replacing them. It supports both automatic and fully manual drivetrain control.
• 2WD and 4WD switching, including permanent 4WD for tractors that require it.
• Front and rear differential locks with separate engagement and release thresholds.
• Automatic control based on wheel slip: 4WD engages at 15% and disengages at 6%.
• Diff locks disengage automatically at high speed, hard braking or sharp steering.
• A small speedometer readout shows drive mode, wheel slip and diff lock status.
• Support for twin wheels and extra axles, plus multiplayer with host control.
• Per-vehicle slip thresholds configurable in the vehicle XML.
The mod is designed to work alongside tyre physics and mud mods, leaving those mechanics to them.
