Realistic Brakes V1.3 is a script for Farming Simulator 25 that adds an advanced braking simulation to trucks and tractors. The handbrake is no longer a magic button: its force depends on vehicle weight including trailers and on terrain slope, so a loaded truck left on a downhill can roll away on its own. Dynamic engine braking is tied to the selected gear, letting you roll freely in a high gear or feel the engine pull in reverse after a downshift. A reinforced Jake Brake type engine brake with three intensity levels can be armed automatically or triggered manually with the B key.
• Brake fade depends on vehicle type: ventilated discs cool quickly, oil-immersed tractor brakes rarely overheat, and a loaded truck on a long descent can reach critical fade within minutes.
• Keeping brakes very hot for too long causes permanent damage that requires a trip to the garage.
• New trailer air brake hoses keep a trailer braked until connected, with an air-release sound when disconnected.
• A discreet HUD shows brake temperature, efficiency and parking brake status, all configurable from the game settings menu.
The mod works with Enhanced Vehicle, Realistic Diesel Start, multiplayer and dedicated servers, and it is compatible with savegames from version 1.2.0.0 without starting a new game.
