Sledge Hammer for GTA 5

This mod for GTA 5 replaces the baseball bat with the Sledge Hammer while focusing on Realistic Damage. Your close-quarters fights get a heavier look and more convincing hit behavior, making every swing feel less like a default weapon and more like a dedicated blunt tool.

The Sledge Hammer appearance and the updated damage handling are combined in one package, so you don’t just get a visual replacement. The weapon’s impact is adjusted to behave closer to how blunt weapons should perform, improving consistency during fights. It’s a good choice if you want melee combat to feel more grounded and responsive.

Installation is done with OpenIV: replace the bat model and texture files (w_me_bat.ydr and w_me_bat.ytd), then update weapons.meta to enable the damage configuration. After that, the weapon will appear as Sledge Hammer and use the Realistic Damage behavior in GTA 5.
