Mud on the Road is a script mod for Farming Simulator 25 that adds dynamic mud on roads, yards, and tracks. Tyres only leave smears when they carry real mud from field work, while clean or washed tyres leave nothing. The smears bend with the wheels through corners and gradually dry or wash away. The mod works for every wheeled vehicle and trailer, including AI helpers.
• Mud builds up: driving over old mud freshens and thickens it, with new layers going on top.
• Weather effects: heavy rain clears mud in about 5 in-game hours, light rain in around half a day, and dry weather makes it disappear after about three in-game days.
• Cleaning: any sweeper brush that is turned on removes the mud it passes over, and buckets on loaders, telehandlers, or wheel loaders can scrape mud into the bucket as manure.
• Warning sign: a small A-frame "Mud on road" sign in UK style is available in the Decorations shop for 25.
• Settings: modSettings/FS25_MudOnRoad.xml is created on first start, allowing changes to mud duration, carry distance, clod count, and more.
• Console commands: mudOnRoadLoadTyres, mudOnRoadClear, mudOnRoadInfo, mudOnRoadToggle, mudOnRoadBucketInfo.
Mud is saved with your savegame, and in multiplayer it is purely visual and worked out on each PC, adding no network traffic.
