This script Realistic 4×4 Traction System V1.2 is built for Farming Simulator 25 and adds a fully switchable 4WD traction system that reacts to real wheel slip physics.
• Four drive modes: Manual, Semi-auto, Auto, Smart (different engagement logic per vehicle)
• Front axle control: engage/disengage 4×4 on demand
• Differential lock: manual toggle (Ctrl+K) for extra grip, trading turning radius for traction
• Wheel slip detection: automatic modes respond to actual slip, not just speed
• Smart mode: proportional, continuous engagement (no hard on/off)
• Native tire pressure simulation when engaging: no dependency on other mods
• On-screen HUD: live traction/diff status with adjustable HUD position in-game
• Compatibility approach: no XML edits to vehicles; it injects into every supported vehicle automatically
• Multiplayer V1.2.0.0: fixed differential detection on dedicated servers and corrected sync for 4×4 toggling, lock toggles, and auto-mode calculations across clients; late joiners receive correct vehicle states; speed-limited diff locking for realism (locks only when stationary or moving slowly)
