The TM Realistic Rain rain mod with windshield coating is built for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and makes bad weather look far more lifelike. Rain on the windshield becomes thinner and more dense, while still behaving naturally as you drive. The overall result is a more cinematic, believable rainy-road experience without sacrificing smooth gameplay.
• The “windshield coating” effect adds a hydrophobic layer: water forms droplets and runs down the glass.
• A reworked wheel spray produces a fine water mist that reacts to wind and your driving speed.
• Performance optimization helps reduce FPS drops even during heavy storms.
Beyond the visuals, this modification improves how rain is perceived while driving. Droplets look more structured, and water movement feels consistent rather than like a generic wet texture. That makes it suitable for both quick trips and long routes where you want stable framerate and clear, atmospheric feedback.
The updated rain behavior helps you feel changes in visibility and rainfall character as conditions vary on the road. If you enjoy immersive weather tweaks, this version focuses on windshield realism and responsive wheel spray for a richer, more detailed ETS2 atmosphere.
