Hunger & Thirst V: Immersive Update for GTA 5

Hunger & Thirst V is a mod for GTA 5 that adds a survival layer and forces you to manage food and drink intake. Hunger and thirst decrease over time, with depletion speed influenced by your actions. If either meter reaches zero, the player takes damage and can eventually die. After death and respawn, the system resets according to the mod rules.

• Hunger & Thirst meters: continuously drain over time
• Dynamic depletion rates: morning = normal, afternoon = fastest, night = slowest (resting period)
• Activity effects: running, sprinting, and swimming increase depletion speed
• Visual feedback: at 15% vision dims, at 5% vision dims entirely
• Character limitations: below 15% you can’t sprint or even jump (effects disappear at 16% or higher)

Beyond core survival mechanics, the mod includes an inventory flow and store interaction. The inventory menu is organized via LemonUI, with clean notifications and item browsing. You can purchase food, drinks, and medicines at convenience stores across Los Santos; bought items are then added to your inventory for use.

• Inventory usage: press “I” to open the inventory and consume items
• Store system: convenience store locations with blips labeled “Convenience Store”
• Purchase interaction: buy by pressing “E” near a store
• Medicines: MedKit restores 50% of character health, Bandage restores 25%
• Food & drink examples: Burger gives Hunger +30 and Thirst -5; Soda gives Hunger +5 and Thirst +35
• New additions: Hotdog, Taco, Fries; Milk Shake, Iced Tea, Energy Drink

After death, hunger and thirst reset to 100% on respawn, so survival restarts immediately. Depletion behavior can be adjusted in a JSON file, while future updates are planned to add more realistic variations of foods, drinks, and medicines.
