This is a script mod for Farming Simulator 25 that adds deep, continuous mechanical simulation to motorized vehicles in your save. Hyper Realistic Maintenance 2 V1.2 turns maintenance into gameplay: wear accumulates over time, affects engine and drivetrain behavior, and can lead to real failures rather than cosmetic stats.
• Engine simulation: 5 independent components (cylinder, piston, bearings, crankshaft, valves) that affect each other
• Thermal model: coolant temperature rises under load; overheating happens when the radiator is degraded
• Fluids: oil level/contamination and coolant level can be checked and require service
• Transmission elements: clutch, gearbox, turbo and battery/starter motor wear over time
• Failures: probabilistic failures increase sharply above ~35% wear; critical overheating above 118 °C is guaranteed
• Vehicle-type behavior: tractors, trucks, harvesters and cars wear at different realistic rates
• Real effects: power loss reduces effectively available torque, and no-start situations can genuinely prevent cranking
• Scheduled maintenance: 10 service items (engine oil, filters, hydraulic/transmission oil, coolant, grease, belts and more) with their own intervals and farm cost scaled to actual vehicle power
• HUD: 3 pages (overview, detailed engine diagnostics, maintenance status) with adjustable position; repair screens also perform a full HRM2 service
Compatibility: fully standalone, and it detects the optional 4×4 Traction System automatically, giving 4WD/differential lock a real additional transmission effect. Maintenance progress is saved in the game save. Version 1.2.0.0 adds mouse-based HUD positioning (Ctrl+Shift+H) and internal stability/code-cleanup improvements.
